Black Rice (glutinous) - 25kg
Glutinous black rice, also known as sticky black rice, is the unpolished, whole grain of traditional sticky white rice. It can be used in both sweet and savoury Asian dishes.
Glutinous does not mean "full of gluten" it describes to the stickiness of the rice which is prized for Asian dishes.
Cooking Tips: Rinsing and soaking black rice overnight will help reduce cooking time. Use two cups of water to every cup of rice. Cover pan and bring to the boil over high heat, then simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Shut off burner and fluff the rice with a fork. It should be soft yet chewy.
