Ceres Organic Brown Sugar, Demerara (Unrefined, Raw) - 500g

Demerara is a raw cane sugar often used in home baking and in sweetening coffee and tea. Its crystals are coarse and brown, with a rich molasses flavour. This sugar has a distinctly free-flowing, crunchy texture that's good for sprinkling, but is also great for baking where a bit of extra crunchiness is desired.

Our demerara brown sugar is certified organic. The plantations growing the sugar cane have 'biodiversity islands' to promote native plants, birds and mammals. The green cane is spread over the fields to provide nutrients and prevent soil erosion instead of being burned.
