Hazelnut Flour (Ground Hazelnut Meal) - 1kg

Hazelnut flour is a healthy and flavourful wheat flour alternative. It is versatile and can be used in all kinds of applications from the breading on fried foods to a homemade Nutella.

For added flavour, moisture, and nutrition when baking, try replacing up to 30% of the flour with hazelnut flour.  Our hazelnut flour is simply 100% ground hazelnuts... a wonderful, gluten free alternative that is high in protein, and low in sugar, carbs, sodium, and cholesterol.

It has a sweet, nutty flavour, and makes a wonderful addition to baking -  whether you're making biscuits, cakes, pancakes, the list goes on....

Ingredients: 100% Ground Hazelnuts

Country of Origin: Turkey, packed in NZ

Enjoy Me...

  • Here's one of my favourites - use this hazelnut meal, in place of flour when making a torte.
  • Chocolate pairs well with all nuts and particularly well with hazelnuts. Use hazelnut flour in chocolate baked goods like chocolate cakes, brownies, and chocolate cookies.
  • Like other nut flours that contain a lot of fat, hazelnut flour browns easily. To prevent this, you need to bake at lower temperatures than you would with wheat flour or you will need to shorten the baking time

How Interesting...

  • Unlike wheat flour, hazelnut flour is naturally kosher, grain-free, and gluten-free. Hazelnut flour is a great option for people on low-carb diets or who are gluten sensitive or intolerant. Hazelnuts are highly nutritious, particularly in terms of folate, manganese, protein, dietary fibre, and omega-3 fatty acids.
