Sprouting Green Broccoli Seeds (Organic) - 100g & 500g

Delicious and highly nutritious with distinctive broccoli taste. With a mild flavour, mild crunch, and big time nutrition Broccoli sprouts are one of our favourites. Easy to grow - but Broccoli is a cool weather crop, so if you grow it in hot & humid conditions add a 3rd rinse/drain daily - or wait for cooler weather. Harvest when sprouts are 2.5cm long. 1g of seed will produce 8g of sprouts.
Ingredients: Certified Organic Broccoli Seeds Certification: BioGro Organic

Enjoy Me...

  • Add sprouts to your favourite sandwich, salad or stirfry for extra flavour, texture and nutrition. Or try them as a topping on scrambled eggs, omelette or avocado.

How Interesting...

  • Research has found that Broccoli and Broccoli Sprouts contain a chemical called sulforaphane that is an effective anticancer agent and kills the bacteria responsible for most stomach cancer and ulcers
  • Sprouting is the natural germination process by which seeds or spores put out shoots, plants produce new leaves or buds, or other newly developing parts experience further growth. In the field of nutrition, the term signifies the practice of germinating seeds, to be eaten raw or cooked.
