Turmeric Powder (Ceres, Organic) - 120g

Ceres Organics like to keep things pure and simple. That's why their organic turmeric is just that! Sourced from an organic community garden in Fiji, it's grown by 'working with nature', using no chemical pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilisers.

Derived from the edible root of the plant Curcuma longa, turmeric has long been prized in Ayurveda, where it's used to balance all three doshas. In fact, its name comes from medieval Latin 'terra merita' meaning 'blessing of the earth'. Today this sacred plant is reaching new levels of awareness and respect.

The intense colouring properties and warming aromatic flavour of this unique spice make it ideal for use in everything from curries, rice dishes and soups, to comforting teas and tonics.

Ingredients: 100% Certified Organic Turmeric

Origin: Packed in New Zealand from imported ingredients (Fiji)

Certification: BioGro Organic

Enjoy Me...

  • If you are using powdered turmeric, a little oil (e.g. coconut oil) and a dash of black pepper drastically improves the level of curcumin absorption. However if you are using the fresh root, you do not need to add anything. Mother nature has it all covered and the raw root comes packaged complete with all the turmeric oil you need (i.e.turmeric oil comprises around 6-9% of raw turmeric).
  • It makes a lovely bedtime drink called ‘golden milk‘. This highlights its unique flavour and offers a daily dose of goodness – we like this best with our home made hemp milk.
