Lentils readily absorb the flavours of the ingredients they are cooked with, making them super versatile. They’re great in endless dishes, including hearty meals and soups, as well as in curries, dahl and vege burgers.

  • The great thing about lentils is they don’t require pre-soaking before you cook them but soaking them will reduce their phytate content.
  • Rinse. Add 1 cup of lentils to 4 cups boiling water. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until tender.
  • A great addition in veggie burgers, soups, dahl or curries.
